Scott Riggs is a retired American professional stock car racing driver. He was born on January 1, 1971 in Bahama, North Carolina. Riggs began his NASCAR career in the early 2000s, competing in the Busch Series (now Xfinity Series) before moving up to the Cup Series in 2004.
Throughout his career, Riggs drove for various teams, including MB2 Motorsports, Evernham Motorsports, and Richard Childress Racing. He achieved his first and only Cup Series win at the 2006 season-opening Budweiser Shootout at Daytona International Speedway.
Riggs retired from full-time racing in 2012 and transitioned to working as a spotter and driver coach for various teams in NASCAR. He currently runs his own driver development program and works with young racers looking to make it in the sport.
